"One thing I'll say for him...Jesus is cool."
First and foremost, I would like to thank God for all of this...all these wonderful blessings...my musical ability, my family and friends, my health, everything in my life. Without Him, none of this would be possible.
Secondly, I would like to thank my mom and my dad. Without both, I could never have become what I am today. Thank you both from the bottom of my heart.
Finally...thank you very much for much for coming. I know a lot of you are my close buds. Thank you not only for checking out the site, but also for supporting me and Herbal Affair as it has grown. If you're brand new to the Herbalness, thank you very much for giving us guys a chance. We hope you like what you here. Let us know what you think, drop me an email, etc...
Stay Herbal, people!
Peace,
BJ

Everything you ever wanted to know about Beej, but were afraid to ask.
Hey everybody,
I'm trying to get some kind of regular set-up for my page here. I'll hook you up with all the vital stats here... =)
Name: Robert James Knights
Age: 20
DOB: 10/2/80
Nicknames: BJ, Beej, B, Be Jota, plenty of others that aren't suitable for family viewing.
Hometown: Mansfield, MA
Current living arrangement: Mansfield MA, Bridgewater MA, Pawtucket RI, Providence RI...I get around. =)
Main guitars: Paul Reed Smith Custom 24 (electric),
Ovation Standard Balladeer (acoustic), and an Ibanez bass
Favorite bands: My musical taste can simply be described as ecletic. 311 is the best, but there are so many great bands...Devo, Counting Crows, Toad the Wet Sprocket, Incubus, Disturbed, etc.
Hobbies/Fun Stuff: Playing soccer, reading, religion, working out, hanging out, listening to music, playing the guitar, singing, playing out.
Food: I love my buffalo wings. I'm trying to eat healthy though...lots of salads, wet carbs, fruit and veggies, grilled chicken, etc...
Anything else you want to know about me...get in touch and let me know!

Musical Styles, Influences and Grooves
(in no particular order, except that 311 is the greatest!)
311, Disturbed, Devo, Counting Crows, Toad the Wet Sprocket, Megadeth, old Metallica, Primus, Incubus, System of a Down, Static-X, Misfits, Slayer, Joe Satriani, Yngwie Malmsteen, Talking Heads, Alice In Chains, Billy Idol, Black Sabbath, Danzig, Zebrahead and a groovin' funk/jazz band I just heard of recently, Medeski, Martin and Wood.
The Musical Side of Things
For all of you guitarists out there...I play a PRS Custom 24 for my electric and an Ovation Standard Balladeer for my acoustic. I have an Ibanez bass that I jam on once in a while. I play the PRS through a Marshall JCM 2000 head and a 1960 4X12 cab. The acoustic and vocals go through a Mackie head and JBL speakers. I'm not too big on effects, I just like to play straight up, but I do have a Digitech rack-mount processor in case I ever decide to get funky...keep it real everybody and keep playing the tunes!
Peace, Beej!
